Yaa Amoakohene is a 2024 graduate of the University of Virginia, where she earned a B.A in Media Studies and African American Studies. Yaa’s background spans across production, writing, and artistic programming. Yaa has previously worked with the Virginia Film Festival, in Events & Outreach, Programming, and most recently curated the 2024 Shorts Package. Yaa’s professional and personal interests focus on highlighting queer black representation in TV and film. Currently, Yaa is a Production Coordinator with JxJ and is looking forward to doing great things!
