PODS specialized swim classes are for older children, teenagers, and adults of all skill levels.
Trained instructors provide expert guidance and support while instructing swimmers in small group classes. Lessons run year-round in our indoor pool on weekday evenings.

About the PODS classes
This beginner adult class introduces basic aquatic skills and swimming strokes, including the front crawl, breaststroke, and elementary backstroke. Participants strive for proficiency in stroke performance. Participants will also learn the skills and concepts needed to stay safe around water, in addition to those needed to help themselves or others in an aquatic emergency. No prerequisites required. This class is held in the shallow area of the pool.
This course is for swimmers ages 14+ interested in preparing for a Red Cross-certified lifeguard class. Please note, this class will NOT provide students with a lifeguard certification. The focus of this course is to ensure that all students will be able to complete requirements for lifeguard courses.
This course is for beginners who have had little or no swimming experience. Instruction will focus on basic swimming skills, including: front crawl with rotary breathing, elementary backstroke, backstroke, comfort in the deep end of the pool, and treading water. Students should be comfortable swimming with little to no assistance.
This clinic is offered to swimmers looking for specialized instruction in any of the four competitive strokes. We use a combination of drills and specific sets to develop and improve stroke technique. Class will focus on swimming longer distances while maintaining solid fundamental stroke technique. Students will work toward swimming the freestyle and backstroke 100 yards, breaststroke 50 yards, legal butterfly 25 yards, and a medley with proper starts and turns.
This is a course for students who have had little or no swimming experience. Instruction will focus on basic swimming skills for beginners to advanced beginners. Skills to be covered include: front crawl with rotary breathing, elementary backstroke, general water safety and treading water. Students should be comfortable swimming with little to no assistance.
