Social Responsibility

December 25 Day of Service

Join hundreds of volunteers to spread holiday cheer across the DC metro area!

Overview

D25 is the Edlavitch DCJCC’s largest volunteer event of the year, with hundreds of volunteers spreading holiday cheer across the DC metro area.

Visit social service agencies in the metro DC area to prepare and serve meals, sing carols, throw holiday parties, or play bingo – or stay at the Edlavitch DCJCC to donate blood, make instant meal kits, create cards for emergency personnel working on Christmas Day, and more.

Choose your project based on location, type of activity, or time of day – we have something for people of all ages and abilities!

Registration Details

Please note that advance registration is required for all D25 volunteer projects, except the Blood Drive. Making an appointment to donate blood is highly encouraged, but walk-ins will always be welcome.

We request a $20/person tax-deductible program fee to help us cover the costs of supplies, including gifts for clients, Santa suits, party decorations, arts & crafts, and games. Please note that we are unable to issue refunds after December 18, 2024.

Please read individual project descriptions carefully and note minimum age to volunteer as well as any COVID-related requirements the site may have. If you have any questions, please contact Sonya at sweisburd@edcjcc.org.
