Join the Youth Action Institute for an afternoon of volunteering at Lutheran Social Services (LSS) Resource Center where we will be restocking items and sorting through donations so that LSS clients can pick up essential items such as clothing, kitchen accessories, and toiletries. LSS is a wide-reaching nonprofit that serves many people including refugees, youth in foster care, and families and individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. They are one of the main refugee resettlement agencies and as a result, are facing significant challenges now.
This project is open to teens ages 11-18, and participants will earn 2 SSL hours. Transportation will be provided to the LSS Resource Center from the EDCJCC. If you have any questions, please contact Lyssa at ajellenik@edcjcc.org.
