This workshop will teach participants how to use stretching and massage techniques to improve flexibility, relieve tension, and enhance mobility. We’ll use therapy balls to perform guided self-massage then do gentle mobility exercises and stretching. Aimed at older adults, but open to all ages.

This all-levels workshop is aimed at older adults (though open to all ages) to help improve flexibility, relieve tension, and enhance mobility through a combination of self-massage, gentle stretching, and movement exercises. We’ll use therapy balls (provided) to perform guided self-massage that help to release tight muscles and increase blood flow to key areas like the shoulders, hips, hands, and feet. Gentle mobility exercises will follow the self-massage to help improve range of motion in the joints and ease stiffness. And finally, we’ll incorporate stretching to elongate muscles and promote overall flexibility.

This workshop is free to attend, but registration is required and space is limited. Please reach out to Dena Katz at dkatz@edcjcc.org with any questions.
