Spend your evening with clients served by Community of Hope, which provides direct services to address the needs of homeless and low-income families and individuals in DC. We’ll be running various crafting projects at Community of Hope’s shelter called The Bridge, which serves 40 adults who are overcoming homelessness and awaiting their housing vouchers. Crafts are a favorite activity at The Bridge and a craft night gives clients the chance to relax, have fun, and be in community.

Schedule:
5:45-6:15 PM: Learn from Community of Hope’s Housing Program Director about homelessness in DC and what Community of Hope is doing to support clients in their programs.
6:15-7:00 PM: Spend time getting to know clients over snacks and lead crafts including tie-dye and more.

No crafting experience necessary! This program is open to volunteers ages 18+. This program is located in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington, DC, and an exact address will be provided after registration. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mira Smith at msmith@edjcc.org.
