Spend your Sunday supporting clients at So Others Might Eat, whose dining room serves over 1,000 nourishing meals every day to those experiencing homelessness and poverty. Volunteers will assist with serving meals and drinks, dishwashing, and cleaning.

Spend your Sunday supporting the clients of So Others Might Eat! SOME's Dining Room serves over 1,000 nourishing breakfasts and lunches every day to those experiencing homelessness and poverty, with support from nearly 10,000 volunteers annually. Volunteers will assist with plating and passing out meals, refill drinks, help with dishwashing, and clean up and reset the dining room.

This volunteer program has limited spots and is open to volunteers ages 13+. All volunteers ages 13-16 must be accompanied by a chaperone. The SOME dining room is located in NE DC, half a mile from the NOMA Gallaudet Metro. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mira at msmith@edcjcc.org.
