Kick off the new year by making a difference in the lives of DC students right in the JCC's neighborhood! Join us for an informative virtual training session to learn how you can become a volunteer reading partner for elementary school students at the Kingman Boys and Girls Club in Logan Circle. This opportunity requires a weekly commitment during the afterschool hours. The orientation will include background on the organization, practical training on how to be a reading partner, and next steps.

Reading Partners is an education nonprofit that mobilizes community volunteers to provide one-on-one literacy tutoring to aspiring elementary-aged readers. Becoming a volunteer tutor requires no experience, as we provide an easy-to-follow curriculum that includes all of the books, worksheets, and set-by-step lesson plans to teach an effective lesson. For specific questions about the volunteer opportunity, please contact volunteerdc@readingpartners.org.
