EDCJCC MLK Day of Service 2017

Thank you to the almost 100 volunteers who came out for this year's MLK Day of Service!


Join Behrend Builders for the Edlavitch DCJCC's MLK Day of Service to honor the legacy of service and social justice of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Volunteers will painting and decorating the walls of a public elementary school in Northeast DC. This is the third and final piece of a continued effort to put fresh coats of paint on the entire elementary school so it is a cleaner and brighter place to learn.

Sign up as an individual or as a small group with co-workers, friends, or family. Our MLK Day of Service is a great way to meet new people and to learn a little more about the DC community. Address and location will be provided upon registration.

No painting experience is necessary and all materials will be provided.

Volunteers must be a minimum of 14 years old, no exceptions please.


Registration is mandatory and walk-ins are not available for this project.

We request a $20/person tax-deductible program fee to help us cover the costs of supplies, including paint brushes, paint, and etc.
