EDCJCC MLK Day of Service 2018

Thank you to everyone who came out to volunteer during this year's EDCJCC MLK Day of Service! We had over 100 volunteers clean and put a fresh coat of paint on the dormitories at the New York Avenue Emergency Men's Shelter.

As temperatures have been freezing this winter, the shelter is always full and this is a welcome sight for folks who have to utilize the services of this shelter.

Join Behrend Builders for the Edlavitch DCJCC's MLK Day of Service to honor the legacy of service and social justice of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Sign up as an individual or as a small group with co-workers, friends, or family. Our MLK Day of Service is a great way to meet new people and to learn a little more about the DC community. Address and location will be provided upon registration.

No painting experience is necessary and all materials will be provided.

Volunteers must be a minimum of 14 years old, no exceptions please.

Registration is mandatory and walk-ins are not available for this project.

We request a $20/person tax-deductible program fee to help us cover the costs of supplies, including paint brushes, paint, and etc.
