Self Defense Workshop

In partnership with Capital MMA, this class will offer an introduction to Gracie Jiu-Jitsu self-defense. We want to ensure the safety of all individuals. The workshop is co-presented with GLOE – the Kurlander Program for GLBTQ Outreach and Engagement. All abilities welcome.

Zumba Fitness
Partnership with KEEN
Start date: September 17
1st and 3rd Sunday of each month
Time: 12:00-1:00pm
Location: EDCJCC Gymnasium
Suitable: Ages 18 and up

As part of our inclusion initiative, we are partnering with KEEN - whose mission is to empower youth with disabilities by providing free, non-competitive one-to-one programs of exercise, fitness and fun, led by volunteer coaches. They are expanding their programs through an adult Zumba program. All Zumba classes are free of charge. Zumba class will be held the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month starting in September. Claysmile Entertainment and ZuzuFit will be providing instructors for the class.  Click here to see a full list of dates.

All Participants must complete the KEEN registration forms in addition to registering through the EDCJCC online registration.

Adapted Swim Class Series
Saturday, October 14 – November 18 (6 classes)
Time: 4:30PM
Location: EDCJCC Sheldon "Skip" Monsein Pool
Ages 15 and up
Cost: $125 for the session

Join us for our adapted swim class this fall. Enhance your current swim skills, through independent skill focus in a small instructional setting.  We want you to be comfortable in the water, enhance your current swim skills, independent instruction with an instructor, and develop relationships with others in the class. The pool is handicap accessible. All abilities welcome.  Individuals who need support are welcome to bring a friend who will provide support during the program.



Spirit Club

Trainers from the Spirit Club provide fitness classes for all abilities. Those unable to independently follow instructions are welcome to participate with a 1:1 supporter. Contact Stacey Herman for specific dates and times at staceyh@edcjcc.org.



Dance for PD® – A Unique Dance Program for People with Parkinson Disease and Their Care-Partners
Fridays, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM at the EDCJCC
Presented by Bowen McCauley Dance, this free class decreases physical symptoms while improving balance and mobility.
